Our Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving took place on Saturday, June 4, 11:00 AM–12:15 PM in Memorial Church.
Classmates not attending the Reunion were able to join a live stream of the service.
Over the years, these memorial occasions have occupied an important place in our Reunion programming. We will pause to honor and reflect on the 127 classmates no longer with us. Readings, hymns, a choral offering by our HR77 class choir, and remarks by Rev. Matthew Ichihashi Potts, Pusey Minister in the Memorial Church, will accompany the calling of the Roll.
Reminders for the Class of ’77 Memorial Service Choir
- The beautiful piece of music we’ll be singing is not excessively demanding and has a marvelous organ accompaniment to keep us on track.
- Singers must attend two rehearsals, 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday June 3 and 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday before the service.
- You will receive the music in early May.
- Please bring a mask in which you can sing, in case you need or want to wear one.
The Roll of Deceased Classmates is perhaps the most important part of the Memorial Service. While HAA officially keeps the list, we respectfully request that you review the Roll as it currently stands for any errors and omissions. The list can be found at this link.
Kindly email John Crocker at johnweldcrocker@gmail.com with any questions or observations. Please include a published obituary if available, as we cannot publish without confirmation. Also please understand that we generally abide by HAA records as to the declared class affiliation of those who took sophomore standing or time off from college, even though they may have matriculated with the Class of 1977.
We appreciate your attention to this hallowed Roll of Remembrance.
Thank you,
