Calling All Talent

Friday Night Talent Show

collage

OPEN BAR! HIPPIES! YOUR TALENT!

Now that I have your attention ...

The first part is our promise.

The second part hints at our venue: site of the 1977 Harvard production of HAIR (hint: rhymes w funster).

The third part is our pitch: Perform in the 77's Got Talent show on Friday night, June 3, after the Class Dinner in sumptuous Dunster House Dining Hall.

Song, dance, stand-up routine, trenchant story, cute cat photos—we welcome all forms of entertainment.  OK, no cat photos.

Please share your interest using the form HERE with your fabulous idea for a performance piece. We aim to create a show that’s lively, varied, uplifting, moving, and funny. As reunion is a day shorter than usual, we envision a tight show that will allow time for mingling afterward. (Translation: brief acts, well-rehearsed.)

Yours always, or until the hook,

Peter Lerangis and Lois Kugler

Memorial Service Choir

Would you like to sing in the Class of ’77 Memorial Service Choir? A number of you have already signed up enthusiastically, but more singers would be even better.

Some people are worried about singing after a long hiatus: maybe 45 years, maybe 2 years because COVID19 temporarily silenced your church choir or community chorus. Please know that the beautiful piece of music we’ll be singing is not excessively demanding and has a marvelous organ accompaniment to keep us on track.

Singers must attend two rehearsals, 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday June 3 and 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday before the service. You will receive the music in early May.  Please bring a mask in which you can sing, in case you need or want to wear one.

If interested, please email Joan Soble (joanssoble@gmail.com ) with your name, and the part(s) you sing (soprano, alto, tenor, bass).

Thanks so much!

Joan Soble
